Fun Questions with Trudy

What’s your favorite writing snack?
Red Licorice! Always within reach — sweet, chewy, and great for thinking up mischief.

Coffee or Tea?
Coffee, always!
Hot coffee for early mornings, iced coffee with a little Kahlúa when the weather calls for it. (Some stories write themselves better that way.)

Favorite food?
Tacos — in a crispy nacho shell, or rolled up in a soft burrito stuffed with all the works. If it crunches or drips salsa, it’s a win.

Tell us about your dogs!
Trudy’s furry family is legendary:
Abby Gail, a 2-pound Yorkie who rules the household with adorable authority, followed closely by Lilly Lou, her devoted mom. Then there’s Harley D. the proud Papa of Abby Gail.  Then we have  the lovable Golden Retrievers, Booger and Maggie — plus an ever-rotating cast of pups!  The Yorkie Pups we call the Bits... Lil-Bit, Tiny-Bit, Itsy-Bit, Teeny-Bit, & Mighty-Bit.  Then the Yorkies also have Bam Bam and Pebbles.  The Goldens have a few babies too:  Digger and Bandit, Biscuit, Marigold, Sneaky Snake, and Gunner.   At one time we had 11 Yorkie Pups and 31 Golden Pups. Thank Goodness we Sold or gave away most of them.  We still have many, but they are so dear to our hearts.  We have about 15 give or take Stray Dogs, that come around at Breakfast and Dinner Time.  I think some of the Cowboys may have adopted a few, they don't seem to leave very often.  We do have 4 Australian Shepherds, and 2 Blue Healers that help work the Cattle.  So how many dogs is that?  Who knows.. Depends on the Day of the week I think.

Do you have Other Animals?
Oh yes, we have Black Angus Cows, Appaloosa Horses, 4 Quarter Horses, a couple Morgans,  Then of course to keep the ranch exciting, we have Ducks, Chickens, Turkeys, Donkey,  a few Mules we use mostly for packing, 4 Dairy Cows, a Bunch of Goats, a couple of lambs that we store for the grandkids, hopefully they take them home sometime soon... We are like Ol McDonalds around here... But wouldn't have it any other way.

Where do you live?
Trudy spends the winter months on her ranch, where the coffee’s hot and the writing flows.
Come spring, summer, and fall, she hits the road in her 5th Wheel Travel Trailer, exploring new places (and gathering plenty of story inspiration along the way).
