Tiny two-pound Abby Gail has a plan. Find Hooman Mommy, climb into her lap, and stay there until the storm goes away.
Six-pound Harley D. has his own strategy. Find a blanket and get underneath it immediately. If a tremendous BOOM causes him to jump, however, Harley insists he was not scared. He merely made a rapid defensive relocation.
Four-pound Lilly Lou wants only one thing: Hooman Daddy. Unfortunately, Cody is busy outside protecting their home and helping neighbors as lightning flashes across the Clearwater River Valley and heavy rain sends the river rising.
Then the door opens. In come Precious and Peanut, two frightened neighborhood dogs seeking shelter.
